His silence – his embrace for his people

Just as shocking as the physical punishment of our Lord, is the way we took it: in silence. He didn’t defend Himself. He didn’t open his mouth to express any second thoughts.  If there was a moment to set up some expectations for the recipients of his love, it was here. If there was an occasion to ask the beneficiaries of his sacrifice to accomplish something, in exchange of it, it was here. But He did. He wanted to demonstrate his total embrace of the Father’s plan. He wanted to display his total acceptance of those He came to save.

When questions come to assault us, regarding His work in us, we need to remember His silence. His plan is perfect, and He will accomplish it for His own glory. Everything else is just noise.
